DRESS CODE
Apparel worn by members and guests, including children twelve and over should be in good taste and appropriate to the occasion. Tank tops, tee shirts, cutoffs, bare midriffs, swim, workout, tennis clothing, beach flipflops, short shorts and cargo pants/shorts are NEVER APPROPRIATE.
Members and their guests, twelve years of age and over, who are not properly attired may be asked by a member of the Club Management team to make changes as necessary.
Dining Room, Patio, and Bar
Business/smart casual attire is appropriate at the Moorings Golf & Country Club for dinner, happy hour and regular clubhouse activities. Golf attire, including shorts, may be worn for evening dining in the bar area or on the patio with the exception of Saturday evening dinner service. Golf attire is appropriate at all other times and on evenings following a Pro Shop event. Gentlemen are never allowed to wear hats in the dining room. They may wear hats on the patio or at the bar.
The Moorings Golf & Country Club allows tastefully appropriate denim pants/jeans for lunch and dinner, except when otherwise noted. Denim pants/jeans must be clean, non-frayed, absent of holes and consistent in color. Denim shorts are never allowed.
Appropriate attire for special Club events will be noted on the event registration and communications.
Golf Attire
Men
Collared, turtleneck or mock turtleneck shirts are appropriate. Men’s golf shirts must be tucked in on the golf course. Trousers and shorts no more than four inches above the knee are acceptable. Sleeveless shirts, denim jeans, denim shorts, cargo pants and cargo shorts are never allowed on the golf course.
Women
Appropriate golf attire is required at all times. Skirts and shorts should be no more than six inches above the knee. Denim jeans, denim shorts and cargo pants are never allowed on the golf course.
The dress code is an evolving policy and from time to time adjustments will be made. Members will be notified of those adjustments.
